Apprenticeship as Construction Mechanic (m/f/d)
Field of study: Welding Technology
Your new challenge:
- You manufacture large steel structures, e.g. for halls, bridges, or ship parts.
- You process components through flame cutting, laser cutting, and CNC machining.
- You bend, fold, and drill metal parts to precise specifications.
- You join components by welding, bolting, and riveting.
- You handle on-site assembly and maintenance work.
Our requirements:
- At least a lower secondary school diploma (Hauptschulabschluss); a higher qualification is also welcome
- Good skills in shop/technical work, e.g. to operate milling, drilling, and cutting machines
- Mathematical understanding, e.g. to calculate lengths, areas, angles, and material requirements
- Basic understanding of physics, e.g. to assess material properties for a job
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, e.g. when bolting and riveting metal components or setting weld points
- Technical understanding, e.g. for maintaining machines and equipment
- Spatial awareness, e.g. when producing workpieces from technical drawings
- Good physical condition and no fear of heights
